Woven Brunch
This past weekend, we gathered for Woven Brunch, a morning created with intention to pause, to remember, and to connect. The room was filled with women who have each walked through loss in their own way. It was bittersweet to see a full table. It was a tender reminder of how many carry stories of love and grief quietly. Also it was a testament to the strength that emerges when we choose to come together.
Our morning centered around three pathways to remembrance — gentle practices that invited reflection, expression, and peace.
We began with Journaling, allowing each woman to slow down and give her story space to breathe. Words became a way to release, to remember, and to honor the pieces of ourselves that loss has shaped. There was power in putting pen to paper and in choosing to name what is often left unspoken.
Next, we moved into Meditation — a moment to turn inward, to soften the edges of the morning, and to reconnect with our bodies and breath. The quiet filled the room in the most comforting way, grounding us in stillness and reminding us that healing often begins in the pause.
We closed with the Tapestry of Memory, a collective act of creation. Each woman contributed a woven piece representing her baby, her journey, or her healing. Thread by thread, our stories intertwined into something larger than any one of us. It was a physical reminder that even in grief, beauty can take shape when we come together.
The morning was filled with emotion, connection, and gentle reminders that healing is not linear — it’s woven. Through community, creativity, and compassion, we continue to find our way forward together.
